Setup checklist: choose the right kind of move
First establish whether the show is staying with the same hosting provider under a different owner or moving to another provider. Transistor documents a show-level transfer between accounts, including analytics. That does not mean an unrelated cross-host import preserves the same history. Use the procedure that matches the actual change rather than applying a generic migration checklist to every handoff.
Confirm the receiving responsibility
Identify the receiving owner and the account they intend to use through a trusted business channel. Do not guess an address from an old invoice or send control to a similarly named person. Agree who will pay ongoing charges and which team members should retain access. If commercial ownership is disputed, settle that question before attempting the technical transfer. The documented same-host transfer requires the recipient to have a paid Transistor account and accept the emailed transfer; do not confuse this customer requirement with affiliate-program eligibility.
List what must be handed over
Include the show, media archive, directory accounts, website embeds, production files and reporting obligations as relevant. The hosting transfer may cover only part of this inventory. Record what the platform moves automatically and what requires a separate authorized step. Do not bundle credentials into an email or assume that giving somebody a feed URL gives them administrative control of the show.
Verify before closing the relationship
Have the recipient confirm the intended show is visible and that they can perform the responsibilities they are accepting. Check billing and remaining access through the supported interface. Retain the original transfer confirmation and resolve uncertainty before repeating the action. A successful handoff ends with a clear owner and a working publication, not merely an agency dashboard with one fewer item in its list.
