Troubleshooting: describe the failure precisely
Record the show, episode, time, application and observed result. Check whether the problem affects one person, one directory or multiple paths. An unavailable embedded player and an unavailable media file are not the same fault. Avoid saying the entire host is down based only on one browser screen, and avoid dismissing a listener’s report because your own cached copy happens to play.
Make a small set of checks
Inspect the intended public episode and the host’s supported status or help information. Use a second authorized listening path where useful, without repeatedly downloading the whole catalogue. Note whether older episodes work and whether a recent change preceded the issue. Keep checks bounded so investigation does not become a stream of changes that makes the original fault impossible to reproduce.
Do not multiply the publication
Resist uploading the same episode again or creating a second feed before you know what happened. A delayed result can coexist with a completed original action. Save any upload or publication confirmation and ask support about the specific object. If a replacement is genuinely needed, use the supported correction procedure and understand how it affects existing listeners and directory entries.
Communicate what is known
Tell collaborators which path is affected and what is being checked. Do not promise a restoration time that the provider has not confirmed or blame a supplier without evidence. After recovery, verify the original listener path and record the resolution. Retain source media and ownership records as routine preparation, but do not turn every temporary playback issue into an emergency migration that risks disrupting a working feed. Apple’s availability guidance separates unpublished status, release dates and feed problems. Check the relevant status before assuming that a missing listing requires another submission or a hosting change.
